Atlanta Gear Works

Anything can cause a gearbox to fail. We’ll do anything to get it up and running again – any make, any model, anytime, anywhere, repaired or reverse-engineered to equal or better quality. Guaranteed.

For over 30 years, we’ve designed, engineered, built, rebuilt and repaired heavy industrial gearboxes and other process-critical rotating equipment for some of America’s leading manufacturers in America’s bedrock industries – including pulp and paper, cement, chemicals, plastics, power and energy, tire and rubber, steel and wastewater treatment.

Whether your downtime is planned or unplanned, we offer the comprehensive services you need: gearbox repair, custom gearboxes, custom gearing, PIV parts and units, inspections, regular maintenance, and field machining and services.

Our plant is a fully staffed and equipped gear manufacturing and repair facility with a full in-house machine shop with the latest technology that can handle everything from machining new shafts and spacers to re-machining bores in a gearbox housing and can cut spur, helical, double-helical and worm gears.

In addition to a range of basic machinery for plating, welding and painting, our plant is equipped with  a variety of cranes with capacity up to 30 tons, forklifts with capacity up to 18,000 pounds and tools for measuring, 2-plane balancing, testing and troubleshooting.

Whether you have an emergency or need routine maintenance, we’re here for you 24/7. Just call (706) 216-5040.
