Steinmeyer manufactures precision ground ball screws in diameters from an incredibly tiny 3 mm to 125 mm. Our ball screws are available preloaded using either single or double nuts, in either standard or custom configurations. Steinmeyer's FMD division designs and manufactures a complete line of linear, rotary and goniometer stages including drives and controls. Drive options include precision ball screws coupled to either stepper or dc servo motors. For higher performance, three linear motors are available - iron core, ironless or piezo. These stages offer some of the lowest runout accuracies available while still using mechanical linear bearings.
