Zero-Max Offset Couplings Offer New Features

Zero-Max “Schmidt” Offset Couplings now feature needle bearings with internal micro-poly lubrication that do not require periodic maintenance. For systems operating over long periods, this zero maintenance feature can add significantly to productivity and profitability. With applications for high quality printing, embossing, paper converting, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and automated assembly systems, these Schmidt Offset Couplings provide precision without maintenance on parallel offset shafts. Compact in design, these couplings transmit constant angular velocity and torque in a wide range of parallel shaft misalignments.

Schmidt Offset Couplings have a time-proven design and the new sealed bearing feature with no lube fittings makes for a cleaner coupling setup. The new design keeps out contaminants and foreign matter, enabling the couplings to be used in less than ideal operating environments. Schmidt Offset Couplings are designed to handle high amounts of parallel offset up to 17 inches and are available with torque capacities up to 459,000 in-lbs. They impose no side loads on shafts or bearings and eliminate radial shaft vibrations.

In addition to Offset Couplings, Zero-Max provides a full range of motion control components. For over 60 years, the company has created innovative solutions to servo motion control problems worldwide with shaft couplings, adjustable speed drives, and keyless lock bushings. Strategic distribution points are located throughout the world backed by application specialists to provide engineered solutions for most motion control requirements.
