Wolong Electric America to Showcase New Monterrey-Built Motor Technologies at EASA 2026
Wolong Electric America will exhibit at EASA 2026, taking place June 14 - 16 in Orlando, Florida. The company will showcase a broad portfolio of technologies including those presently being manufactured at its newly expanded Monterrey, Mexico facility. Displays will feature the upgraded and expanded Quantum Series motor line, EMR Bulldozer ferrite-assisted synchronous reluctance motors, electronically commutated (EC) motors and fan systems, and permanent magnet motor solutions for large heat exchange applications.
Wolong Electric America will showcase two examples of its Quantum Weather-Protected motor platform. The first will be an example of the newly upgraded 500 frame motor engineered as a high-performance workhorse for critical industrial processes in Class I Div 2 environments. This upgraded line features increased frame and end-shield stiffness, redesigned stator-to-frame interface, and an interconnected multi-plate core structure. This new motor frame emphasizes flexibility in the field, making it easier for end users and OEMs with dual mounting holes and shaft extensions suited for NEMA 505-506-507, 508-509, 5010-5011, 5012-5013 frames. The second will be a large 630 frame, 4160V, 60 Hz WPII representing a new design soon to be manufactured in Monterrey, expanding the line up to 7,000 hp and above for highly demanding and critical industrial applications. This design is compliant with NEMA, IEC, API 541 5th Ed. Standards, available in 2, 4, 6, and 8 pole designs, high starting torque, VFD duty, fabricated copper rotor bars, AISI 4140 steel shaft, and full instrumentation with RTD’s and space heaters.
Also at Booth #600, Wolong Electric America will highlight the EMR Bulldozer family. This motor incorporates a ferrite-assisted synchronous reluctance technology originally pioneered with electric vehicles. Paired with an integrated drive, the system is engineered for ultra-high efficiency, robust performance, and long-term reliability in harsh industrial environments. With efficiencies exceeding IE5, the highest currently recognized international standard, these motors deliver outstanding power density and energy savings, making them ideal for demanding pump, fan, and compressor applications across diverse industries.
For HVAC and heat exchange applications, Wolong Electric America will also feature its next-generation EC motor fan technology, which combines high-efficiency electronically commutated motors with aerodynamically engineered fan designs to deliver quiet, reliable performance. With integrated electronics, wide speed turndown, and advanced control capabilities, these EC fan systems help OEMs and end users meet aggressive energy-efficiency targets, reduce operating costs, and simplify integration into air handling units, rooftop systems, and other air-moving equipment.
Also on display will be Wolong Electric America’s permanent magnet motor technology to directly drive large diameter fans in cooling tower applications. These motors eliminate gearboxes and belts to simplify and reduce maintenance. They also feature a 4:1 turndown ratio, allowing them to maintain torque and efficiency even at low speeds, an ideal solution for variable demand conditions and ambient system adjustments. They are approximately 20% more energy efficient than conventional induction motors and deliver smoother startups with no inrush current, reducing electrical strain and enhancing equipment longevity.
Also visit the booth to discuss medium voltage drive solutions with Wolong’s innovative WD4000 series drives featuring smoother waveforms with 18 pulse phases starting at 1000 HP, a proven Cascaded H-Bridge topology, and a power dense modular design.
