Ruland Nypatch Anti-Vibration Coating for Couplings

Many designers only consider the up-front cost of a rigid coupling instead of the total cost, including assembly. Ruland uses a proprietary anti-vibration coating called Nypatch on clamp rigid coupling hardware. It prevents screws from galling, allows for multiple screw insertions, and reduces the risk of screws coming loose during operation. Other manufacturers require you to apply a similar thread locker upon receipt of the coupling. This can add assembly time, significantly increasing the total cost of the part. In this video, we demonstrate an installation with Nypatch and without Nypatch.
