Thanks!

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday that needs to go global. Local conditions need not be “perfect” to celebrate the good things in our lives. The first Thanksgiving celebrants did not wait for Utopia before sharing a meal with their new neighbors. The current holiday was established by government mandate, not theologians. It was even moved on the calendar for political reasons to jump-start Holiday sales. “Black Friday” sales were a government plot to open the public’s wallets! Despite, or perhaps because of, this sectarian origin, Thanksgiving is a popular celebration of those good things life has for us. Things like family, good food, health — and football. The Gear Technology team thanks you for reading our magazines and visiting the website. We’ll resume this blog after a short nap — another Thanksgiving tradition we support.
