The instructor, Bill Eccles, has a strong background in design engineering and extensive experience in bolted joint design in the automotive, marine, aerospace and machine tool industries. Besides his doctorate on the self-loosening of threaded fasteners, he has written a number of technical papers. His company, Bolted Joint has worked with major engineering organizations in the world including, NASA, John Deere Inc., Volvo Car Corporation, Dupont Inc., Harley-Davidson, Texas Instruments Inc. and General Electric Corporation.
