ABMA Lubrication and Wear: Advanced Concepts

Notre Dame, Indiana. This ABMA The field of lubrication and wear continues to evolve and this course introduces the relevant phenomena pertaining to surface topography measurement and analysis, analyzing surfaces in contact, lubrication films, and friction appropriate to rolling element bearings, sliding machine elements, and mechanical systems. The course bridges the gap between component design and component failure as a result of relative motion between surfaces in contact. This course is designed for engineers and scientists in the rolling element bearing and power transmission industries who desire a more fundamental knowledge of the lubrication, friction and wear sciences.
