EASA Presents Exceptional Achievement Service Award

The Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) honored Mike Dupuis, Shop Supervisor, MDR Axis, with the 2025 EASA Exceptional Achievement Service Award. Established in 1997, this annual award recognizes individuals who have provided exceptional service to the electrical apparatus sales and service industry over a lifetime. “The EASA award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond in the electrical apparatus sales and service industry, providing exceptional service and demonstrating steadfast dedication,” said Linda Raynes, EASA president and CEO. “Individuals are nominated by their peers and selected by a nominating committee."

In announcing the award, Past EASA Chairman Sean McNamara said, “He has held every elected office in his chapter, serving as the director from his region, participating as a committee member and serving as EASA’s International Chairman. He is highly respected by peers both within and outside the industry.”

In nominating Mike Dupuis for this award, one letter from an EASA member firm read, “One of his greatest strengths is his exceptional leadership skills. I have witnessed his ability to inspire and motivate other EASA members. He consistently leads by example, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Furthermore, he is deeply committed to professional development and community engagement. He actively participates in industry events, shares his knowledge through presentations and publications, and mentors aspiring professionals.”

Another read, “He has worked for years with passionate enthusiasm on behalf of Canadian members to help develop and most recently update the Skilled Trades Ontario 466a, Canadian Electric Motor Technician curriculum and exam.”

And finally, “Wait and see, as he never gives up. He will accomplish his task of connecting the EASA Online Learning Center and the ERT Program to our apprenticeship program . . . and truthfully, that is a monumental task. In Canada, the large trades and mostly union trades get attention, and he is the only person I know with the tenacity to see this through by keeping people accountable.
