Cicoil Designs Cables for Submersible Vehicle Applications

Cicoil's highly flexible flat silicone cables are designed for use on Autonomous Subsea Vehicles that require absolute reliability in Mission Critical Applications. Suitable in AUV’s, RMV’s, ROV’s and Underwater Drones, these Halogen-Free and Flame Resistant (UL 94 V-0) cables are an alternative to PVC, Neoprene and Polyurethane cables that do not provide the dependability of Cicoil’s Silicone cables.

Unlike other types of cables, Cicoil utilizes an exclusive process of encasing individual components (power conductors, signal pairs, coax, Cat 5e, tubing) in a shock absorbing silicone jacket that renders them unaffected by repeated exposure to severe vibration, salt water, sea ice, arctic conditions (-65°C), high heat (+260°C), coarse sand, weld spark, physical shock, operational stress, chemicals, tidal currents and the rigors of rough seas.

Cicoil's unique crystal-clear silicone encapsulation needs no external "armor" or conduit for protection, is tear-resistant and will not deform or wear during a lifetime of more than 10 million cycles, even under tight bending radius and high speed flexing conditions.  Cicoil's highly durable silicone is "self-healing" from small punctures and cable jacket damage can easily be repaired in the field.  This combination of features makes Cicoil cables the ideal alternative to wire harnesses and bulky round cables in Submersible Vehicle applications.

Standard "off the shelf" single conductor, multi-conductor and hybrid cables are available from stock in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies with connectors of your choice, 100 percent tested and inspected.  In addition, Cicoil offers anti-friction coating options, custom shapes and fan-out cables by request.

Cicoil's Unmanned Submersible Vehicle Cables are UL Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS & REACH Compliant and are manufactured in an automated, climate controlled environment.  In addition, these environment-friendly cables are 100% contaminant-free and exceed the outgassing requirements of ASTM E-595.
