Blaser Swisslube Offers Metalworking Fluids at IMTS 2022

Blaser Swisslube returns to IMTS 2022 with a line-up of new metalworking fluids and a team of experts with diverse industry and applications experience. Visit Blaser at IMTS to learn how metalworking fluids, often thought of as a commodity, can be leveraged as a strategic tool in the manufacturing process.

“IMTS is our chance to show appreciation for Blaser customers, but we are also ready to advise anyone who stops by our booth,” says Carsten Witthuser, managing director. “Visitors can meet our experts in different materials and applications to help them improve production and enjoy cleaner machines and a safer shop.”

Among the products to be featured are Grindex S35, a crystal-clear and oil-free fluid for a range of grinding applications. B-Cool MC 600 is a semi-synthetic metalworking fluid based on mineral oil that is clean and low foaming even in high-pressure systems. MC640 CI is the solution for clean milling of cast iron. Most importantly, all Blaser metalworking fluids are free of critical substances and are gentle on people and the environment.

The IMTS theme “Get the most out of your machines and tools with our experts in Blue” describes Blaser’s consultative approach to helping manufactures achieve measurable improvement results and cost savings.

“No two shops are the same, so we apply a four-step process including a full situation analysis from materials to machines to local water quality,” said Witthuser. “Then we measure against pre-defined improvement goals, whether it be tool life, cycle time, part finish or lower consumption, before making any recommendations.”

Blaser’s in-house technology center is equipped with the latest CNC machine both for proving out new products and for running customer tests and process simulations. In addition to on-machine testing, Blaser partners with machine tool builders to ensure all products meet OEM requirements.

Attendees registered for the IMTS 2022 Conference track will have the chance to attend “Metalworking Fluids: The Minor-League Player with a Major-League Impact,” with fluid expert Chris Porsch on Tuesday, Sept 13. Participants will learn the impact of the right metalworking fluid on major cost centers in the shop, and how to use coolant to extend tool life, increase cutting speeds and gain process stability.
