Metal Exchange Corporation is pleased to announce that Mark Butterfield has been promoted to president of manufacturing.  In his new role, Butterfield will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, commercial, organizational, and operational aspects of all manufacturing across the Pennex and Electro Cycle, Inc. brands.

President and CEO Matt Rohm stated, “Having recently streamlined our corporate business structure to combine the management of cast and extruded products under a single manufacturing division, our goal is to better leverage resources and relationships across the enterprise. The result is improved insights, efficiency, and end-to-end Advanced Aluminum Solutions for our customers.  When it came time to select a leader of this new division, Mr. Butterfield was the obvious choice.  Since joining the organization last year, Mark has led multiple initiatives to improve our operations while driving growth.  We are confident in his abilities to take on this expanded role.”

Before joining Metal Exchange in 2022 as president of Pennex Extruded Products, Butterfield had over thirty years of progressive experience in the aluminum extrusion industry including experience working in automotive manufacturing. He has an impressive background in the manufacturing industry including leadership roles as managing director and vice president engineering - manufacturing. He is also a leader in the industry, serving the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) as vice chairman of the board of directors, vice chairman of extrusion technology and AEC automotive committee chairman.

Butterfield stated, “I’m honored to take on this position within Metal Exchange. Our business is well positioned for growth and success as we further develop our Advanced Aluminum Solutions capability and value-added service to our customers. I look forward to the opportunity to lead the Manufacturing division into a very exciting future.”

Executive Chairman, Mike Lefton also adds, “Mark has been a tremendous addition to our team and in his new role, we expect his in-depth knowledge, experience, and business acumen will continue to accelerate the success of our business.”
