NKE Austria GmbH has a new sales director. Jesús Monforte, a qualified engineer and MBA, has extensive international experience in industrial product and market development.
Before assuming his new role at NKE, Monforte was active at ABB in his native Spain and at Mann + Hummel in Spain, Asia Pacific and Germany. He now brings his international expertise to the Austrian bearing manufacturer, which, together with Spanish company Fersa Bearings established the Fersa Group two years ago.
“With Jesús Monforte’s appointment, we are taking the next step towards internationalising NKE Austria and the Fersa Group,” says Thomas Witzler, general manager of NKE. “Monforte unites extensive experience in the automotive sector with expertise in conventional industrial applications. He has joined us in our goal of strengthening ties with our customers in the strategic sectors and becoming a viable alternative for global customers.”
“My aim is to develop the sales team to consolidate the NKE brand as strategic partner to key OEMs,” Monforte explains. “Our major challenge is to focus our activities and boost sales figures in those market segments in which bearings from our group’s Austrian and other production sites are the most effective choice.”
Both NKE and Fersa are active internationally in the development, production and sales of bearings for the global automotive and industrial markets, with Fersa covering the automotive and NKE the industrial sector. The Group is represented on all continents, with four production sites, six distribution centres, four research and development facilities – of which two are in Europe and two in Asia – as well as sales offices and trade partners in more than 86 countries. Engineering, product development, production and final processing of components, assembly, quality assurance, logistics, and sales and marketing are centralised at its Steyr headquarters.
