AGMA Partners with Italian Industrial Association, Translates On-Demand Courses
The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FEDERTEC—the Italian association representing the fluid power, automation and power transmission industries and technologies in March of 2024. The partnership was finalized to translate AGMA’s newly redeveloped, on-demand Workforce Training Series courses in Italian.
“In 2025 and beyond, AGMA is making it a priority to give more places, both here at home and abroad, easier access to AGMA educational materials,” said Matthew Croson, president, AGMA. “Nations around the globe are facing the same skills gap and succession issues. To keep the gear industry healthy and thriving, we want to work with as many organizations as possible to offer quality, cutting-edge gear-focused education.”
FEDERTEC members can access the new translated courses at a discounted rate of $99 USD. However, if a FEDERTEC member is also an AGMA member, that party will be able to access both the English and the Italian courses for free. The redeveloped Workforce Training Series remains free to AGMA members and will be debuted in English and Italian in July of 2024.
“AGMA’s strategic plan focuses on the expansion of partnerships that enhance the value we offer to our members,” added Croson. “Additionally, we continue to position our association as leaders in the power transmission space and working with FEDERTEC is a great example of how our education is helping on a global scale.”
“We are extremely proud of the partnership between FEDERTEC and AGMA.” said Mauro Rizzolo, president, FEDERTEC. “In a constantly evolving labor market, the demand for specialized technical skills is growing rapidly. This strategic collaboration aims to unite our strengths and is essential for spreading industrial culture and promoting technological innovation in our sector. Together, we can share knowledge, experiences, and resources, helping to strengthen the global competitiveness of our companies. The synergy between our organizations represents an important step toward a more advanced and sustainable industrial future.”
“The partnership brings together AGMA’s internationally recognized expertise in the gear industry with FEDERTEC’s dynamic ecosystem of Italian excellence.” Added Sergio Sartori, vice president FEDERTEC and FEDERTEC Academy. “By joining forces with AGMA, we are building a bridge between two industrial cultures. This is the kind of international cooperation that strengthens our industries and prepares the next generation of talent.”
