Windpower 2018 Celebrates Success in Midwest

Wind energy is breaking records in the Midwest. Wind provided 60 percent of the region’s electric needs earlier this month. American wind is continuing to power forward to reach new heights. Windpower 2018 is the place where wind energy comes together celebrate successes, overcome industry-wide challenges, and plan for the future.
 
Join these speakers at Windpower 2018 in Chicago as they share their invaluable expertise and vision: Aaron Anderson, project manager, renewables, Burns & McDonnell Engineering; Samer El-Itani, team leader Electrical & SCADA, Senvion USA Corp.; Paul Rich, director, Project Development, US Wind, Inc.; Melissa Elkinton, head of section, Energy Assessment, DNV GL; Ryan Wiser, senior scientist, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and more.
 
Now the industry can focus on the future and the other drivers that will propel the industry forward through the 2020s. The program will feature speakers with “disruptive” and innovative ideas that will continue to strengthen wind energy’s value proposition and challenge the current way we do business. Attendees will hear about how technology advances will continue to lower LCOE, and learn lessons from other industries that are more mature or have experienced similar rapid growth. They will also receive updates on: state policy support, transmission infrastructure efforts, and emerging and growing offtake trends. Windpower 2018 takes place May 7-10 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
