R+W AmericaPower transmission drivelines are generally engineered to withstand the torque load from the process being performed, as well as the torque load required for accelerating up to operating speed. The faster a driveline is accelerated up to speed, the more torque is required to drive the rotating mass, and the larger the equipment needs to be. With this in mind machines normally facilitate acceleration over a time period which, within reason, does not require excessive torque as compared with the actual work being performed. This serves to prevent significant over-sizing of the driveline equipment.
