USMP Announces New Business Development Manager

U.S. Metal Powders, Inc. (USMP) has announced the appointment of Bryan Wilkinson as business development manager of USMP and AMPAL, Inc. Wilkinson assumed his new position at the company’s headquarters in Palmerton, PA, on Monday, November 3, 2025. 

In this new role for USMP, Wilkinson will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities.  He will build relationships with industry players, work closely with potential customers, and coordinate internal resources to scale up new business. He will be responsible for the business development plan for new products. That new product plan will include spherical aluminum powder being scaled up from AMPAL’s new production line.

USMP, founded in 1918, is a global leader in the production of aluminum powders with two aluminum powder production facilities, AMPAL, Inc. (AMPAL) in Palmerton, PA and Poudres Hermillon, SARL (PH) in La Tour-en-Maurienne, France.   AMPAL has grown to be the largest US producer of aluminum powder. The company’s products are sold globally to a wide variety of end markets including aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial, consumer, building and construction and energy. 

Wilkinson brings nine years of technical and business development experience in the aerospace and defense sector. He previously served as an account manager for PPG Aerospace, focused on growing military and aerospace market share, providing on-site technical support, and identifying new target customers. Over his career, Wilkinson has held cross-functional roles in research, sales, and marketing, specializing in coatings, sealants, and additive manufacturing technologies for aerospace and defense applications. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from Washington & Jefferson College and is named as an inventor on 18 granted patents covering specialty materials, aerospace components, and additive manufacturing processes.
