Trent Maynard Marks 10 Years at Global Shop Solutions

When Trent Maynard joined Global Shop Solutions in 2016, he brought with him an instinct for what manufacturers need, built from working alongside them. Ten years and four roles later, he's now director of product and engineering at the family-owned ERP provider, leading its AI initiatives and helping redefine what modern manufacturing software looks like.

The path to director of product and engineering ran through nearly every part of the business. From his early days as an operations and technical consultant to roles in customer service and R&D, Maynard drove product advancements that strengthen system performance and laid the groundwork for the company's AI expansion strategy.

Maynard created Genii, Global Shop Solutions’ unified AI initiative designed to live throughout the ERP platform and enhance how manufacturers interact with their data, automate processes and make decisions.

Under his leadership, the company has modernized its technology stack, strengthened integration capabilities and implemented AI testing tools and best practices to support the continued evolution of Genii.

“Now, with Genii, he and his team are bringing our AI vision to life across the entire system,” President and CEO Dusty Alexander said. “Trent understands our technology, and he understands what manufacturers deal with every day. That perspective helps us build tools that make a real difference for our customers.”

As the company looks ahead to the next era of ERP innovation, Maynard remains focused on listening to customers, empowering his team and delivering technology that simplifies manufacturing for thousands of companies around the world.

“Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside talented people who care about helping manufacturers succeed,” Maynard said. “Speed, stability, reliability and security are table stakes — especially as AI continues to reshape the industry. Our job is to filter through the noise, focus on what matters and build tools that put our customers in a stronger position to succeed. The opportunity in front of us is enormous, and I’m excited about where we’re headed next.”
