Timken Expands Roller Housed Unit Line

The Timken Company has introduced its new line of Timken SNT plummer block housed units. This product addresses global demand for a metric plummer block design featuring Timken high performance spherical roller bearings. "We expanded our housed unit line to better accommodate global customers," said Amanda Montgomery, Timken director of marketing and product management. "Adding SNT plummer blocks to our existing line of split-block housed units adds to the breadth of our housed unit line. With Timken tapered roller bearing, spherical roller bearing and ball bearing solid-block units, we now offer industrial customers one of the most complete lines of quality housed units in the world.”

The Timken SNT plummer block housed unit features cast-iron housings, Timken high-performance spherical roller bearings and four sealing options to meet application and environmental demands. Enhanced surface finishes and innovative design features lower operating temperatures and increase load-carrying capabilities over traditional spherical roller bearings, placing Timken spherical roller bearings among the industry leaders. Timken offers the SNT plummer block line in the most popular shaft sizes, ranging from 20 mm to 400 mm, for straight or tapered shafts. Housings can also be ordered in cast steel or ductile iron for extremely demanding applications.
