Timken Deep Groove Ball Bearings Keep Equipment Operating Smoothly

A full range of metric deep groove ball bearings is now available from The Timken Company. The portfolio includes standard, thin section, narrow, wide, miniature and extra-small deep groove ball bearings from 3 mm to 400 mm bore sizes.

Reducing noise and vibration in electric motors is a challenge in many industries, and quiet-running bearings are key to keeping these levels low. That’s why all Timken Deep Groove Ball Bearings are qualified for electric motors to keep equipment operating smoothly.

“More choices and more consistent performance,” said Hans Landin, vice president of power transmission products for Timken, when asked what the metric size expansion means for customers. “We’re pleased to offer yet another full line of Timken products. This expansion is an example of our commitment to offer customers a wider range of products and power transmission components.”

Timken deep groove ball bearings follow ISO standards and are dimensionally interchangeable with competitor products. Designed to deliver optimal performance and long life, all bearings feature super finishing on the raceways to reduce friction; use premium low torque/noise grease; are available in C3 clearance (preferred for electric motors); and meet precise manufacturing standards (minimizing noise and vibration).

The product line also offers many open, shield, seal and snap ring combinations to suit different needs, and brass cages are available in select sizes for extra strength in unrelenting conditions.
