STLE Releases Sustainable Lubricants Report

The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) has released its new free digital special report, Sustainable Lubricants: A Stewardship-Driven Approach to Effective Outcomes.

This report discusses how continuing improvements in lubricants and their applications have made sustainable formulations more accessible and more affordable. Sustainability efforts must go deeper than marketing and publicity campaigns if they are to achieve significant and lasting effects. Customer requirements, regulatory restrictions, long-term performance benefits and cost incentives can motivate sustainability measures, even when the main focus is not on the environmental benefits.

“Sustainability remains a key concern globally, and the lubricants industry faces both challenges and opportunities in this area,” said STLE President Kevin Delaney, Vanderbilt Chemicals, LLC. “This publication addresses the complexities of balancing performance with sustainability in the global regulatory environment.”
