Steinmeyer’s New Rotary Stage Features Built-In Stepper Motor and Controller

Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new precision rotary positioning stage. The fully integrated and compact DT 200-SM "plug and play" rotary stage has a built-in DC stepper motor and controller. The rotary stage has an overall height of only 30 mm and length of 205 mm. According to the company’s press release, by weighing just 2.8 kg, it can handle loads up to 10 kg. With a positional accuracy of +/-0.15 degrees, repeatability of +/-0.01 degrees, and integrated drive electronics, the DT-200-SM is a solution for precision rotary positioning. Speeds up to 120 degrees/sec and accelerations to 1,000 degrees/sec2 can be achieved. The DT 200-SM rotary stage is driven by an internal stepper motor and features an integrated motion controller card. A pre-loaded precision slim ball bearing provides rotational guidance. Mounting is easy using the adjustable 3-point base. The DT 200-SM Rotary Stage is ideal for applications in the semiconductor, fiber optic, medical/life sciences, optical and laser systems and miniature robotics industries.
