Steinmeyer Enhances Miniature Ball Screw Line

Steinmeyer recently introduced an enhancement to its miniature ball screw line called Optislite. This feature delivers lower friction torque for smoother running and better servo response. The result is superior positioning performance in laboratory instrument applications, such as pipetting and dispensing.

Optislite screws undergo a proprietary finishing process that removes micron-sized peaks on the shaft raceway. The result is smoother running screws that support the demanding requirements of delicate positioning applications.

“We understand the critical requirements of precision applications such as pipetting and dispensing,” stated Bruce Gretz, Executive Vice President of Steinmeyer, Inc. “Optislite miniature ball screws deliver the high performance needed in those systems to help your instruments distinguish themselves in the market.”

Like all Steinmeyer products, Optislite miniature ball screws offer dynamic delivery of linear motion at high standards of precision and longevity. The screws feature shaft diameters down to 5 mm and pitch down to 1 mm. Available in standard lengths and nut designs.
