SKF Polymer-Type Bearings Improve Performance

The new SKF polymer cages offer advanced thermal, friction and wear properties compared with conventional steel, polymer or brass counterparts. These polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cages operate at higher speeds and perform at higher temperatures.

The SKF roller bearings with polymer-type cages will suit compressor applications in the natural gas, chemical and refrigeration industries, according to the manufacturers. They can be specified for the complete line of SKF contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings. Customized bearings can also be developed to satisfy particular application demands.
