Schaeffler Honored as Transaxle Manufacturing of America Partner-Level Supplier

Transaxle Manufacturing of America (TMA), a Rock Hill, S.C.-based manufacturer of custom-designed transaxles for vehicles used in a wide range of applications in the compact utility tractor and recreational markets, presented Schaeffler with a supplier recognition award for achieving Partner-level status in 2015. Schaeffler was selected for the honor in recognition of its outstanding service, quality and delivery performance to TMA.

In order for a supplier to achieve TMA’s Partner-level status with respect to quality, at least 99.988 percent of parts provided must be free of defects. Schaeffler consistently surpassed that threshold throughout the year.

In addition to unit cage needle bearings that support gear loads in the company’s transmissions and transaxles, Schaeffler supplies TMA with deep groove ball bearings and precision plain bearings. As one of the world’s leading rolling bearing manufacturers and a development partner to the lawn and garden, and recreational vehicle industries, Schaeffler has decades of experience engineering and manufacturing bearing arrangements for the demanding conditions under which this equipment operates.
