PTDA Announces Market Data, Welcomes New Members

The Power Transmission Distributors Association announced its March 2006 outllok support data for distributors and manufacturers of power transmission/motion control products. According to the assocaition's press release, year-to-date sales of PT/MC products rose 11.7 percent as compared to sales for February through March 2005. Day sales in accounts receivables increased 0.7 percent as compared to February 2006 but were down 3.3 percent when compared to the same month last year. For March, the confidence level of U.S. distributors rose to 7.3 from February's 7.0 (on a 10-point scale). In other news, the association formally welcomed Uni-Drive Systems Pte. Ltd. as a new member company. The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College was also welcomed as a new educational institution associate member.
