Preco Division Opens in Ohio

Preco Laser Systems announced the opening of the Preco Laser Systems Automotive and Powertrain Group in Troy, OH. According to the company’s press release, this facility wil assist the automotive and powertrain industries in the Detroit/Dayton areas with design engineering and material handling automation as related to standard and custom industrial laser systems for laser welding, cladding, heat treating and specialty cutting, process development and laser contract manufacturing services. Bob Zimmerman, Preco’s current general manager, will be heading up the new facility. Kerby Harding, engineering manager, wil assist with operations. Doug Lapchynsky will move to the new facility as well. Preco Laser Systems provides process development, laser automation and laser systems, technical support and laser contract services for the powertrain, power generation, aerospace and electronic industries.
