PI Releases Brochure for Medical Applications
Physik Instrumente (PI) recently released a new brochure on piezo ceramic actuators and components for medical applications.These actuators and motors are smaller, utilize more force, vacuum compatible and no lubrication is required. Piezo ceramics can be used for pumps, nebulizers and atomizers. Piezo motors can be used for micro liquid dispensing while non-magnetic motors are found in imaging, OCT and MRIs. These components are found in hexapod robots for computer-aided surgery and scanning stages for bio-research microscopy.
