Omron STI's Switch Locking Devices Enables Quick Moving of a Safety Interlock Switch to Safe Position

The SLD series switch locking devices from Omron Scientific Technologies enables personnel to quickly lock a safety interlock switch to a safe position allowing for certain types of maintenance.

This is intended for use as an alternative control method while performing routine or repetitive tasks or those integral to the production process as provided for by standard ANSI/ASSE Z244.1-2003 section 5.4.

According to the company's press release, the design and construction of the SLD switch locking device blocks access points to the actuation mechanism of the safety interlock switch. The new series is compatible with Omron's other safety locking switches.
