New Single Axis Servo Controller from Aerotech

The Soloist is a single-axis servo controller that combines a power supply, amplifier and position controller in a single package. According to the company?s press release, the controller can manage up to four tasks simultaneously as well as handle variables and I/O for production applications. Its high position latch inputs and advanced data logging capabilities make it suitable for laboratory, test and industrial applications. Soloists are fully tested and ready to run out of the box and Aerotech can integrate them into a complete motion system. One program can be used to produce a variety of parts by prompting the user for new application data. A digitizing joystick can be used to teach the Soloist positions. Additional built-in features include axis calibration and backlash compensation as well as a user units feature that customizes specific machines for linear and rotary applications.
