New Screw Actuator from Duff Norton

The new 3-ton capacity screw actuator from Duff Norton was designed for applications requiring positive mechanical positioning. According to the company's press release, this actuator has a standard 24.2 efficiency rating, can be driven at 2 horsepower maximum and is available with top plate, clevis end or threaded end mounts. In addition, the actuator can be driven either by a manual crank or a gear motor, which is connected to the horizontal worm shaft. The machined inner diameter of the worm gear makes sliding contact, propelling the lifting screw back and forth.
