New President at AMTDA

Clark T. Smith was elected as chairman of the American Machine Tool Distributors Association at the annual spring meeting. Smith is president of Smith Machinery Co. in Salt Lake City, UT, where he has held a number of positions since 1981. He served a three-year term on the AMTDA Board of Directors from 1995?1997. From 2000?2001, he completed a term as secretary and one as treasurer the following year. According to the association?s press release, Smith also served a term as chairman-elect in 2002?2003 as well as various roles on the government relations and member service committee and the strategic task force.
