The NRS planetary roller screw assemblies from Nook Industries is designed for the most precise linear motion applications. These roller screws provide high rotational speeds with faster acceleration without adverse effects, according to Nook's press release. Among the suitable applications are high static load capacity with small leads, high linear speeds, high linear and angular acceleration in a single assembly. These assemblies feature nuts with threaded rollers instead of bearing balls as rolling elements. Nuts are available with an integral flange or as a cylindrical nut in a split preload or a one-piece solid non-preloaded design.
