New Carbide Taps From LMT-Fette

The HPF carbide insertable forming taps from LMT-Fette features a replaceable carbide insert on a steel body. According to the company?s press release, the insert allows for cutting speeds two to three times higher than that of an HSS form tap. Featuring a hardened steel shank designed with four drive tangs that handle the torque in a tapping operation, each shank is made to DIN specifications for added reach capability. The taps are compatible with all ductile materials up to 32 Rc and can be run with high tensile strength materials such as aluminum, steel or stainless steel.
