The latest brochure from Weiler Corp. details the importance of deburring in gear manufacturing. All cutting and shaping operations producing some type of burr or leave a sharp edge. According to Weir’s press release, the featured power brushes can remove the burs and sharp edges and improve the performance of power tranmission components. The power brushes are suitable for deburring gears, essentially because the do not alter part geometry. Power brushes can deburr complex power transmission components manufactured to close tolerances and tight specifications.
