New Axle Shaft Hardening Capability from Inductoheat

The VSM-95 vertical scanning machine from Inductoheat is tooled up to process axle shafts. According to the company’s press release, the VSM processes a broad range of axle shafts with its motorized rotary tap switch and servo-controlled upper carriage assembly. Changeover between parts within a diameter range is fully automatic. In addition, actual run data, including critical processing parameters, is uploaded to a central computer on each individual cycle that the machine processes. Feed rate requirements are accomodated with proper power supply size selection, as are various diameters and case depths.
