NEMA's Industrial Controls Indexes Increase in First Quarter

NEMA’s Primary Industrial Controls index showed a 0.5 percent decrease in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the first quarter of 2017. The index increased 3.7 percent compared to the same period a year ago. A broader measure of shipments, NEMA’s Primary Industrial Controls and Adjustable Speed Drives Index, posted a 2.3 percent increase in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the previous quarter and a 7.3 percent increase from the same period in 2016.
