Michigan Automatic Turning Purchases AA Gear

AA Gear LLC and Michigan Automatic Turning Inc. completed the purchase of the assets of Ann Arbor Machine Gear Division. Michigan Automatic Turning is a vertically integrated transmission shaft manufacturer for the off-highway market.

The addition of AA Gear now enables the companies to completely manufacture prototype and production quantities of gears and shafts in-house, including specialised processes such as spline rolling and gear grinding. With the in-house capability to produce gears up to 28 inches diameter and shafts up to 48 inches long, the companies can manufacture most off highway and heavy truck transmission and driveline components.
