MET High-Current Brush DC Motor Develops 500 Watts Continuous Output Power at 2,000 RPM

Minnesota Electric Technology (MET) recently developed a family of high-current brush DC motors in 3.6 inch frame size.

These high-current DC motors are available in both 12 vdc and 24 vdc models. The 12 vdc model develops 500 watts (0.67 hp) continuous output power at 2000 RPM, while the 24 vdc model achieves 750 watts (1.0 hp) continuous output power at 2400 RPM.

These DC motors utilize new brush materials that are designed to safely allow them to operate at higher current levels and still maintain their rugged construction in the smaller frame size.
