Lenze’s Brakes Include IP65 Enclosure

A new series of brakes from INTORQ with IP65 enclosure offers a  solution for stopping and holding duties in damp or dirty environments.  The series BFK461 are spring-applied brakes released by applying DC voltage to an electromagnetic coil.

Brakes can be engaged dynamically at motor speeds and also suit static holding applications.

The BFK461 brakes are constructed with an aluminium casing and O-ring to seal the connection to the mounting surface. A plastic cap and seal close the central bore, and the supplied fixing screws have seals under the heads.

Seven models in the range with rated torques from 4-150Nm.  For holding duties, torques can be uprated to a maximum of 235Nm.  Shaft sizes start at 10mm and go up to 45mm.  Brake coils can be supplied for 24V low voltage connection or rectified mains at 103, 180 and 250V.
