Kudale Instruments Offers Double Flank Gear Roll Testers

The demand for faster and quieter gears with low noise and wear factors has necessitated high efficiency power transmission products. Gearbox noise is influenced not only by overall gearbox construction and dimensions, but also by the individual gearing.

Precise gear measurements are therefore essential for quality control. The double flank roll testing of gears is primary and foremost important inspection method to produce good quality gears.

Kudale Instruments Pvt. Ltd. offers different models of double flank gear roll testers including Model P-0, P-1 and P-2. The equipment consists of an accurately machined solid robust cast base as well as fixed and measuring slides that ensure accuracy, repeatability and fine movement without play and friction. The measuring slide is fitted on linear guide ways providing suitable roll test accuracies. The displacement of the measuring slide can be read from the dial indicator connected to the measuring slide. This equipment is used to check the total composite error, tooth to tooth error, etc.

With the basic equipment, bore-type spur and helical gears are inspected and accessories for checking shafted gear, worm and bevel gears are available as an option. Different models are offered to suit the gears with 25 to 350 mm center distance and shafted gears up to 700 mm shaft length.
