KISSsoft and SKF Collaborate on Bearing Calculation

KISSsoft and SKF have joint forces once more: In the KISSsoft Release 2021, the shaft module allows bearing calculations to be performed through the SKF Cloud service based on ISO/TS 16281. In this way, the user can consider the detailed bearing internal geometry that would not be available otherwise. The results, including the stiffness matrix and service life values, can then be transferred to KISSsoft.

For a KISSsoft user this means being up-to-date with bearing calculation and simulation technology at all times, therewith increasing the confidence in predicting bearing performance. Furthermore, a more precise calculation of the shaft deflection can be carried out using the refined data obtained from the SKF Cloud.

Now that bearing stiffness is included in the SKF Cloud service, not only bearing performance is calculated more realistically but also the influence that bearings have on system performance. Optimizing machine design is improved due to the collaboration of KISSsoft calculation programs and SKF Cloud solution.

Here you can find a short instruction video which explains, how to activate the SKF Cloud service in KISSsoft. Do you want to learn more about this topic? On October 26, 2021, KISSsoft will present an overview of the numerous functionalities in the KISSsoft bearing calculation - including the SKF Cloud service - in a free 60-minute web demo.
