J.W. Winco Offers Hinges with Safety Switch in Stainless Steel

J.W. Winco, Inc., a leading supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers 316L Stainless Steel GN 139.5 Hinges with Safety Switch.

The RoHS compliant hinges with integrated safety switches are designed for use in monitoring doors and covers of machines and equipment. Opening the door activates the switch contacts, which causes an interruption in a protective circuit via broken contact (NC) and at the same time signals the door opening by closing a normally open contact element (NO).

The contact blocks are fitted with positive opening slow-action contacts, as they will definitely be separated when activated and have no hysteresis. The angle at which the switching points are reached is adjustable. Together with the integrated contact blocks, the hinges are a compact, easy-to-mount unit with an attractive design. The mounting from the back makes the hinge particularly tamper-proof.

Hinges with operating angle > 0° and hinges with other contact load ratings are available upon request. The hinge body and hinge pin are made from 316L stainless steel, with the body having a polished finish.
