JVL Introduces New Stepper Motor Series

JVL Industri Elektronik A/S, recently announced the development of its MIS23 series integrated step motors. This new motor family is based on the latest technology and advancement of previous designs, taking into account customer feedback. It offers several variations and possibilities to fit many different applications.

The integrated motors in Nema 23 flange dimensions have an RS485, as well as optionally via CANopen or an industrial Ethernet interface, as well as a motion controller programmable in the flow language. All that is required for this is integrated in the motor housing. JVL has used the latest technologies in this development.

The MIS23 motors are available in three different sizes but come with two different types of motors; three with standard high torque stepping motors and two versions with ultra high torque stepping motors with 40 percent more torque.

The motors can be operated as "stand alone" or via a control unit. Eight I/O's can be individually parameterized as digital inputs/outputs or analog inputs. By default, there is the possibility of e.g. Modbus RTU or CANopen with higher-level systems. The JVL MAC protocol, which is also supported, allows the easy setup of an RS485 network with up to 254 other JVL integrated motors. At the same time, the MIS23 offers an interface to all common industrial Ethernet such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Powerlink, EtherNet / IP, Modbus TCP and SERCOS III.
