IPS Signs Partnership Agreement with Gefran Drives

Integrated Power Services (IPS), North America’s leading provider of motor and generator repair services, field services and distribution for continuous process industries, has joined forces with Gefran Drives and Motion Control Group in North America. Gefran’s 50 years of experience, a customer-based organization and constant technological innovations make them a leader in automation components and industrial process control systems.

Gefran is an industry frontrunner in high tech drives and motion control, and offers drive applications to support various industries, including steel, water distribution, lift and elevator, plastics, material handling and food service.

IPS provides services through a network of service centers, field service offices, warehouses and distribution centers across the U.S. and in Canada. IPS services over 4,000 customers in power generation (wind, hydro, nuclear and fossil), oil and gas, paper, metals, steel and mining.

Gefran’s top of the line drive models offer new applications, obsolete drive replacements and a range of motion control products, designed and manufactured at the Gefran facility in Gerenzano, Italy. These drives offer a wide range of solutions for speed and automation control of AC and DC electric motors as well as brushless servomotors.

IPS Industrial Electronic Repair Center Manager, Jerry Ragonese says, “This new partnership is yet another example of our commitment to continuously meet the needs of IPS’s customers and offer them engineered solutions to minimize the total cost of ownership for their rotating equipment.”

Together in North America, they join forces to offer repair service, field service and a master distribution channel with factory trained inside repair technicians and field service repair technicians, and customer service representatives
