Introduction to CNC Machining Curriculum Launched

Techno Inc.'s Educational CNC Division introduces the New Basic Manufacturing Skills: Introduction to CNC Machining Curriculum, available for technology education courses from grades six through college. The curriculum comes with a 170-page curriculum workbook and an instructor's CD with all projects, software files and tests ready for customization. All Techno Servo CNC machines come with a free sample copy of the workbook and multiple copies can be added for a complete classroom setup.

"I worked with Dr. George Klein and tried to create a complete educational resource with this curriculum," says James Renner, sales manager. "Not only do we include a history of manufacturing that details the basic evolution of tools, but we include various lessons on both CNC machining technology and the use of leading industry CAM software."

Students using this curriculum will learn the basics CNC machining and Mastercam software while creating real world projects including a jewelry box, picture frame, desktop organizer and coaster set. Instructors will have the opportunity to customize the included tests to reflect their specific classroom strategies and the included example files help demonstrate each of the activities outlined within the workbook. Also available for use with the curriculum is Techno's Intro to Manufacturing Curriculum Tool Kit, a 12 piece set designed for those who purchase this package.
