Hansen Transmissions Establishes Gearbox Facility in India

Hansen Transmissions International announced plans to invest 170 million euros for a wind turbine production plant. The facility will supply gearboxes to wind turbine manufacturers in the Indian and international markets, including to parent company Suzlon Energy Limited. The project is planned near Coimbatore, India and will be operational by the end of 2008. According to a Hansen Transmissions press release, the factory will reach its full production capacity, with an annual output of 1,500 to 2,000 gearboxes, by early 2010. ?We are very pleased to welcome Hansen Transmissions to India.
