Gleason Works India Completes Rooftop Solar Project at New Bangalore Plant

Gleason Works India has completed a solar power installation to its new Technology Center and Manufacturing Plant in Bangalore/Karnataka. The 343 kWp solar rooftop has been commissioned by a global turnkey solar solution provider with a long-standing experience in renewable energy solutions.
 
On the occasion, Pardeep Kumar Aggarwal, general manager of Gleason Works India Pvt. Ltd. stated, “The concept of integrating highly efficient solar power in the energy mix required at the Gleason Bangalore facility reflects our company’s commitment to green energy and environmental sustainability. It portrays our global philosophy of forward thinking and continuous cost optimization. We are investing to be progressive not just in gear technology but also in our methods and infrastructure for manufacturing our products.”
 
The solar plant will generate more than 500.000 kWh annually and help Gleason India to meet 90 percent of its daytime energy demand. It will also help the location to reduce its carbon footprint by 460 tons per year.
