Gleason Acquires M&M Precision

Gleason Corp. acquired M&M Precison Systems Corp. of West Carrolton, OH, a manufacturer of process control systems for gears as well as a gear inspection facility. According to the company’s press release, Gleason will retain M&M’s existing management team. Under Gleason’s ownership, M&M will be renamed Gleason-M&M Precision Systems Corp. Main operations will remain in Dayton while sales and distribution channels will be integrated with Gleason’s existing sales offices. M&M’s products and services are sold worldwide, including their Sigma and Micro-Top CNC gear inspection systems. M&M also offers turnkey metrology systems for gears, rotors, camshafts and other rotating parts in additon to functional gear measurement gages, tools and services. John J. Pettorri, Gleason’s president and CEO, says "We are excited to have M&M join our company. M&M brings complementary products that further strengthen our ability to serve our global markets. By leveraging Gleason’s leadership in gear technology and our global reach, we believe great opportunities exist to expand sales of M&M’s products."
