FCG Talks Shop at Gear Expo 2013

Fred Young, owner and operator of Forest City Gear (FCG), proudly displayed a table full of various gears during the latest installment of Gear Expo in Indianapolis. “Each gear tells an incredible story of how the company has evolved through the years,” Young says. “From gears found in the M1A1 Abrahams tank to auto racing equipment; Airbus and Boeing jets to Harley Davidson motorcycles; we’ve sent some gears to Mars and others to space stations."

Forest City Gear recently opened the doors at Roscoe Works, a new state-of-the-art facility designed to greatly improve lead times and quality for the production of precision gear blanks. This new division is dedicated solely to the production of precision turning and operates from its own highly productive new 8,500 sq. ft. facility in close proximity to Forest City Gear’s main facility in Roscoe, IL.
